Happy Boxing Day! I hope you're all really enjoying sitting in your boxes, or going to boxing matches, or shopping at boxing sales where they have cheap boxes! We're spending Christmas in Paris. We celebrated Reveillon on Christmas Eve with Jeremy's French faily, which was glorious - the photos above are from the market where we bought all our cheese and potatoes and scallops. Yesterday we napped a lot, ate pudding and brandy sauce, or rather ate a normal portion of pudding and basically drank an entire bowl of brandy sauce if you're me. We also went to see 'Whiplash' which, though a very late entry, might just be my film of the year. It's out in the UK in January and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
While here I've been wearing this Sister Jane cape and dress (I LOVE Sister Jane), which was a present from that man of mine, and I love them both so much. The cape is surprisingly warm, I think the folds trap the warm air or something...I don't know, I'm not a clothes scientist. And the embellishment on the dress means you don't need a necklace (good news when travelling - no one wants to have to bring loads of necklaces, right?) The shoes are from Monki. I've wanted some shoe boots for a while, and I love that these are patent, they remind me of being a little girl in itchy, rustling party dresses and shiny shoes.
